1. The situation of Vietnamese tea exports
Tea for export is an export product that brings a lot of potential to the Vietnamese market. According to statistics of the Import-Export Department, within the first 6 months of 2022, Vietnam's tea export volume in the world is 53,700 tons with a value of 92.5 million USD. These are good signs  Vietnam's tea export market compared to recent years.

Present. Most of Vietnam's tea exports are mainly from Middle Eastern countries, Taiwan and Russia. In addition to focusing on these three main markets, Vietnam's tea exports also have a large market share in China, India and Iraq.

In addition to these markets, in the second half of 2022 and 2023, Vietnam hopes to expand to many other markets in the Middle East, North Africa, America and South Asia.

According to the General Department of Customs, although in the first months of 2022, the export turnover of the industry decreased compared to the same period last year, but the value increased somewhat compared to the end of 2021. Specifically, the export price of tea increased by 0.7% compared to the end of 2021.

Although it is said that there is a decrease in tea export volume, the total volume of tea exports to the US market has increased sharply. Specifically, in the first months of the year, we exported tea to the US with a volume of 1,877 tons and increased 54.6% in volume and 69% in turnover.

In parallel with the export of goods, the processes of growing and processing tea for export are being restored by Vietnam. After two years of freezing because of the COVID-19 epidemic, by 2022, most tea production and processing facilities for export have returned to operation.

The situation of tea exports in the world
According to statistics from reputable sources in the world, the export tea industry in recent years has also undergone tremendous changes.

Currently, Kenya's export tea industry is facing many huge problems. Over the years, Kenya has been the largest exporter of black tea in the world. The export tea industry alone contributes to 4% and Gross Domestic Product of this country. However, due to the global climate change situation, the people who grow tea for export here are threatened by the climate. Rising temperatures, floods, droughts, etc. Are making the export tea plantations here gradually close.

From 2019 to the end of 2021, all countries in the world are affected by the global COVID pandemic. Many factories and production facilities are gradually closing. Not only in the world, but in Vietnam also suffered extremely heavy consequences. The fact that farmers cut down export tea trees was not a rare sight at that time.
